The Maid of Orléans begins in the limbo of the 25 years between Joan’s burning at the stake and her rehabilitation by The Church. Joan’s voices—St. Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret—finally return to her to re-examine her life and role in human history. Through story, movement, song, projection, and gigantic performer-powered set pieces, we experience a world as the Saints—or Saints-in-waiting—might tell it.
