Catching Him In Pieces (2005)
Catching Him in Pieces was an exploration of the life and writings of the quixotic New Orleans poet, Everette Maddox. Referred to by local writer Ralph Adamo as “the best loved poet in the city of New Orleans,” Maddox has left us a rich legacy of poems and poetry readings that have continued to leave an impression on our city since his death in 1989. This performance examines the life and work of this paradoxical writer and his uncanny connection to our city.
